Adrian Davis

Board Certified Family Law Specialist

“Collaborative law equates to self-determination, which inevitably empowers the individual with control over his or her own life.”
Adrian Davis grew up on a 160-acre farm in Robeson County, North Carolina, surrounded by close family. Growing up in a rural, tight-knit community instilled in Adrian a strong work ethic, sense of family, and a passion for helping others. Although she spent her early years in various parts of North Carolina, including Charlotte, Salisbury and Newton Grove, her roots in Robeson County remain strong. As a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe, Adrian has always felt deeply connected to her community. Known for her tenacity and empathy, Adrian takes pride in helping clients navigate significant life changes and ensuring they come out stronger.

Her interest in working in family law sparked early on in her childhood, after her parents’ traumatic divorce that changed her life entirely. Navigating a tough situation at such a young age left her with a resilience and passion for helping others who lose that security. By the age of 10, she had already decided she wanted to pursue a career as an attorney. Her dedication to family law has always been driven by a genuine desire to help her clients through tough times, with the ultimate goal of empowering them to take back control during uncertain situations.

After completing her undergraduate studies at UNC Chapel Hill, Adrian worked in the office of the Dean at UNC Law School, eventually becoming a student and proud graduate. Post-graduation, Adrian spent five years working in the corporate sector, where she managed a team and specialized in real estate title work. She then transitioned into private practice, concentrating on family law and building a successful career litigating domestic violence, alimony, and child custody. Adrian then opened her own firm, where she further honed her expertise and became Board Certified in Family Law.

In addition to her extensive legal career, Adrian is a dedicated mother to two boys. She spends much of her time supporting her children and involving herself in different aspects of their lives. She also enjoys cooking and curling up with a good book whenever she can.

One of Adrian’s goals for the next five years is to focus on continuing to help Cape Fear Family Law grow. She hopes to ensure the firm delivers exceptional results for clients, as well as supporting the professional growth of the attorneys.
