In 2021, Sofia returned to Wilmington where her father, a retired attorney who practiced in Wilmington for over 30 years, sparked her interest in law. She even spent a summer working at his law firm during college, which planted the seed for her eventual career path. While she briefly considered law school, Sofia found her niche in the operational side of law firm management, where she combines her love of problem-solving with her natural leadership abilities.
When Sofia first interviewed at Cape Fear Family Law, she felt an instant connection to the firm’s culture and values—especially its focus on teamwork and helping others. Now, as the office manager, she’s focused on making things run smoothly and ensuring that the team works like a well-oiled machine. Sofia’s warm, easygoing nature, quick wit, and enthusiasm for learning make her an indispensable part of the firm.
Outside of work, Sofia is an adventurer at heart. She’s traveled to 22 countries, and when she’s not mountain biking or rock climbing, you’ll find her lost in a good book. She’s also a proud cat mom to Little Man and Figgy, and she cherishes spending quality time with her family.
Sofia’s passion for creating an organized and welcoming workplace, coupled with her dedication to personal and professional growth, makes her a vital member of the Cape Fear Family Law team.
