Cassandra Thompson’s adaptability, expertise, and devotion for helping others are just a few reasons that make her a perfect fit to meet your paralegal needs. Born in Howell, NJ, Cassandra primarily grew up in Caldwell and West Caldwell, NJ, but moved around the state during her childhood. Cassandra attended Essex County College where she studied social sciences. Initially, she wished to pursue a psychology major, focusing on marriage and family counseling. Her path took a different direction when she landed a job at a law firm.
Influenced by her mother and aunt, who both are paralegals in family law, Cassandra found an opportunity in family law and decided to take it. She found herself drawn to this field as she loves advocating and guiding people during difficult circumstances. Her ability to connect with clients on a personal level makes her effective in providing the support and guidance they may need. Cassandra views her role as a form of indirect therapy, helping clients navigate some of the tougher times in their lives with empathy and understanding.
After working for a small law firm, Cassandra seeked a greater opportunity with a larger team and joined Cape Fear Family Law after moving to Jacksonville, NC with her family. She is eager to grow within the firm and aspires to become bar certified, as well as continuing to expand her knowledge and experience in family law.
In her free time, you could find Cassandra reading, working out, or hanging out with her identical twin sister. She is also a devoted dog lover who loves spending time with her white german shepherd, Athena.
