Meet Azalea
Ixtly “Azalea” Pinter is Ms. Gemmell’s bright young executive assistant and client experience manager. Her unusual first name means “Beautiful Blessing of God” in Aztec. For simplicity’s sake (and to avoid spelling it all day) she goes by her middle name Azalea.
When asked what she loves about Cape Fear, Azalea replies, “It’s about family. They do what is best for the family in general. They really are bulldogs when they need to be, especially for the kids. They’re not just doing it for the money.”
As a child of divorced parents and in the middle of a divorce herself, Azalea feels she can truly relate to Cape Fear clients. “It’s kind of ironic, but it helps out. I let them know exactly what I’m going through. I think it helps build a good relationship.”
Currently, Azalea and her daughter Nayeli are living in Jacksonville where she shares a positive relationship with her family.
Azalea hopes her experience can show Cape Fear clients that co-parenting can work. “My daughter is doing amazing. Coming from a divorced family, I didn’t want to make the same mistakes my parents did.”
Azalea has a strong passion for helping those with special needs, partially stemming from the fact her half-brother in Puerto Rico has autism. When she returns to school next year she’s considering studying social work, psychology, or law. The sky is the limit for Azalea.
In her spare time Azalea enjoys learning about different cultures and telling fortunes with Tarot cards. She also admits to being a true-crime junkie, watching the ID Channel with her dog Jay (named after Jay-Z), who is also part of the co-parenting arrangement.
