Cape Fear Family Law will be taking its mission of promoting a secure and happy future and using it to make a mark on the region during the next several months. On Saturday, May 14, 2022, the firm will be hosting the first of three sand sculpture displays titled Sculpt Your Future and Your Family. The purpose of these family-friendly events is to gain visibility for the work Cape Fear Family Law undertakes, but in a way that is fun, informative, and interactive.

The theme for the first display is “Protect Your Children” and will include the creation of a sea turtle by local artist Sandi Adams of SandiCastles. Work will begin at 8 a.m. and residents are encouraged to come by and watch the transformation from sand to sea creature. Members of the Cape Fear Family Law team will be on hand beginning at 11 a.m. hosting kid-friendly games, handing out some goodies, and sharing information about what sets the firm apart from the rest.

“The guiding principles of Cape Fear Family Law are truly focused on the sanctity of the family, ensuring the best outcome of each case while always keeping the family dynamics in mind,” explained founder and family law specialist Janet Gemmell. “Our hope is that these events will make an impact, prompt conversations, and reinforce our commitment to the work we do – and more importantly, for whom we do it.”

SandiCastles was founded in Southeastern North Carolina by Ms. Adams. In 2008 Sandi began working in sand, and in 2009 Team SandiCastles participated in its first competition, Castles and Scoops, taking first place in the adult division. In 2010 she participated in the freelance division of the North American Sand Sculpting Championship in Virginia Beach, VA. In addition to her work throughout Southeastern North Carolina, Sandi was on staff at the 2011 World Championship of Sand Sculpting, the 2012 and 2013 Sand Bash, and at the 2013 American Sand Sculpting Championship.

The mission of SandiCastles is to provide a unique and memorable service that will delight clients and contribute to their time together, their enjoyment, and their learning. Work by the SandiCastles team has been featured throughout Southeastern North Carolina including Wrightsville Beach, Topsail and North Topsail Beaches, Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, Oak Island Beach, Sunset Beach, Carolina Beach and Kure Beach.

The event is free and open to the public. Future events will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Wrightsville Beach, and Saturday, July 16 at Carolina Beach.Update: Our Protect Your Children Event was a great success! Thanks to everyone that came out for the event.
