Meet Wendy

The first face you see when you enter Cape Fear Family Law is likely that of Legal Assistant Wendy Bresee, who also sits at the front desk.

Wendy has been working with the firm since January 2023 after initially being a client. “I was going through a divorce and we knew I needed a job afterwards, but I didn’t have any experience at anything because I didn’t go to college. I’ve been raising four children for 24 years, so they just offered me the job.”

Wendy loves working at Cape Fear because she feels she can relate with the people that come in. “I love helping the people that are in the same situation that I was in, and I just love helping provide for my children and I love the whole environment. Even though sometimes it can be sad, some cases end up with a happy ending, including mine,” she said.

When not at the office, Wendy loves going to the beach with her four kids. “That’s our favorite thing to do. I spend lots of time with my children, especially the youngest one.”

Wendy is training to be a paralegal, so she hopes one day to be certified. “I have the absolute best boss and a fantastic life,” Wendy added.
