When asked what her favorite part of her role here at Cape Fear Family Law was, her response “The people. I truly enjoy working with everyone, and they’re all very patient with my attempts at lawyer humor.”
A graduate of Winfield High School and a prior student at West Virginia State College, Missy’s passion for learning and taking on new challenges always shines through. Since joining Cape Fear Family Law, Missy has been excited to witness the firm’s growth and expansion. “It’s thrilling to see the firm evolve, it means we can assist more families in need,” she adds.
Though Missy describes herself as “more of a private person,” her colleagues are well aware of her infectious energy and lighthearted spirit. “I keep my head down and focus on the work,” she says, though this statement conveniently leaves out her well-known office antics, including friendly chair races.
Outside of work, Missy enjoys spending time with her husband and their young daughter, Mia. She is also proud of her two older daughters, who are currently pursuing their college studies. When she’s not managing legal documents, Missy dreams of an adventure along the Pacific Coast Highway.
A passionate fan of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, Missy hopes to one day attend a live game. Though her lighthearted jokes about “kidnapping Patrick Mahomes” are purely fictional, she remains dedicated to following the team—and planning her future NFL stadium tour.
In her limited spare time, Missy enjoys connecting with her colleagues, who she greatly values and admires.
