Meet Emily
Emily is the friendly face who greets clients as they walk through the doors at Cape Fear Family Law in Wilmington, NC. As the firm’s receptionist, she keeps the office running smoothly and ensures that every client feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
Originally from Hatboro, Pennsylvania, Emily moved to North Carolina for college and has embraced the warmth—both in the people and the weather—ever since. Emily brings a bit of Philly spirit to the firm, whether it’s her love for the Phillies or her hardworking approach to helping clients.
She graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in business management and is considering law school in the future. Her interest in family law started in college, where she enjoyed her business law courses and discovered a passion for helping people navigate important life decisions. What Emily enjoys most about her role at Cape Fear Family Law is meeting clients in person and helping people. While she often learns client stories through paperwork, she finds it rewarding to put a face to the name and see the firm’s impact on families. Emily worked as a camp counselor when she was younger, where she developed a strong sense of patience and compassion for children. She enjoys working with families and kids, which sparked her interest in family law. As the first point of contact, she strives to make every client feel comfortable and valued.
Outside of work, Emily stays active and creative. She’s a dedicated gym-goer and a lifelong sports fan. One of her favorite things about living in North Carolina is enjoying the beach, something she never had back home in the Philly suburbs—where freezing winters made outdoor activities a little less inviting. She also enjoys sewing in her free time. Though she misses her family (and her two dogs) back home, she remains close to them, even as they’re spread across different states.
With her warm personality, strong work ethic, and passion for law, Emily is an essential part of the Cape Fear Family Law team.
