“Often praised for her unparalleled work ethic, Kiley has a superhuman ability to seemingly be doing it all and then take on some more.”
“With a true understanding of the importance of family, there really is no better candidate for a Family Law legal assistant.”
The Balancing Act
When it comes to balance, we could all take a page out of Kiley’s book. Often praised for her unparalleled work ethic, Kiley has a superhuman ability to seemingly be doing it all and then take on some more. As of May 2021, Kiley will officially be a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington earning her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Pre Law. Kiley’s original career plans consisted of becoming a Crime Scene Investigator which triggered her interest in taking law classes. This ultimately sparked her desire to become a lawyer though – leaving Police Departments everywhere severely disappointed.
As much as the crime scenes could have benefited from Kiley’s attention to detail and extreme dedication, it’s safe to say that the team at Cape Fear Family Law is thankful for her decision. Kiley not only excels in her role as a Legal Assistant but truly enjoys the work. She finds her days spent in the courthouse exciting and even enjoys more mundane tasks such as meetings with the team and helping out with organizational duties. On the weekends, you can find Kiley at her part time waitressing job alongside the staff she refers to as her family. The full plate Monday-Sunday did not seem to dent Kiley’s academic performance by any means, in fact, she wound up in three honors societies. Her time management skills and dedication are second to none making it no surprise that the team at Cape Fear Family Law rely on her capabilities.
Kiley has a true appreciation for the state of North Carolina as it’s the place she has called home since birth. Born and raised in Locust, Kiley has fond memories of visiting Sunset Beach from a young age, so to combine her love for North Carolina and longing to live near a beach, pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Wilmington at UNCW was a no brainer . With her degree quickly coming to a close, Kiley is excited for her next chapter. Set to write her LSAT in January, she is eager to stay in the state she adores and pursue her Law Degree at Chapel Hill or Campbell University.
Wellness and Waves
You may be thinking, “does this girl have time for anything besides business?” The answer to that is yes! Kiley loves spending her free time at the gym, doing yoga or with her friends. On top of that, she has just purchased her first surfboard and is learning how to ride the waves this summer. It will be interesting to see if work-life balance can transfer to balancing on a board. Stay tuned. In addition to her passion for fitness and aptitude for trying new things, Kiley asserts that her family is of the utmost importance to her and attributes a lot of who she is to her upbringing. With a true understanding of the importance of family, there really is no better candidate for a family law legal assistant.
